It’s been busy around here lately. For the most part of May, I was running back and forth to the hospital taking care/seeing about my grandmother. Sadly, on May 28th 2009, at the age of 88, she passed away. It’s taken a toll on me emotionally because I loved her dearly and saw her constantly. It’s still heartbreaking to think that she’s gone, but it does get better.
My baby boy, Brandon, turned a year old on June 25th, 2009! I can’t believe a year has passed by so quickly, lol! He’s walking around a bit, but still very wobbly. We’re almost blowing kisses, and his vocabulary is growing faster than I think Jonathan’s did.
Jonathan is bouncing off of the walls as usual. We’re still trying to potty train, but he will be finished by his birthday in October. I just can’t take it any longer. If I had my way, he would have been born potty trained, but sadly, that’s not an option.
He’s getting better with his ABC’s and colors. Numbers aren’t that great, but we’re just going to keep practicing!
I’ve been busy making cakes for family members here and there. I’ve made everything from an Incredible Hulk cake for my step-son, to a Elmo cake for Brandon’s first birthday. I also made a Mickey Mouse cake for my nephew that turned out pretty well. I’m improving, and that is boosting my self esteem like you wouldn’t imagine!
The Fourth of July is this week, and I look forward to that. I’ve always enjoyed the fireworks and how relaxed the holiday feels. So, I’d like to wish everyone a Happy Fourth of July in case I don’t update, lol! XD
