My new computer finally got here and I’m in LOVE! I’ve been soo bad about even getting online because I’ve been playing Sims3 every chance I get. I love the customizable options, but I miss not having my doggies. I have definetly have to get some more hair styles, but for the most part I’m happy with the ‘stock’ items for now. Well, I gotta download an Explorer for me and then we’ll be good.

Yesterday DJ and I tried to get a four wheeler, but we were turned down because DJ has two outstanding bills, and I have no income in my name. My credit is good enough to do it, but you have to have at least $1000 a month worth of income in your name. I think he’s still going to try another place, but I doubt he gets anything in the end.

I got drunk last night off of Mike’s Hard Raspberry Margaritas. Those things have 5.5% alcohol in them, where beers have like 3%.. So, I was gone fasttt, lol. It’s not helping me at all now because Brandon is hell on wheels this morning and screaming non stop. Ughs, pass me some tylenol.

Spray Paint and Vampires

I just got back inside from attempting to spray paint the iron rails we have on our porch. They’re the loopy little scroll work ones, and a BITCH to paint. I bought two cans of paint and didn’t even get one of them done! Of course, I’ve never attempted to spray paint a thing in my life, but I thought I’d get more out of it than 2/3 of a rail. Oh well, maybe it was because they were rusty and black and I was half ass sanding them and painting them a moss green. We also need new shutters, and I think I may get them in the same color green. Our house is white and the roof is a tan color, so green would be good. I’ve been trying to get outside more because I always stay in the house. I burn like hell during the summer, so maybe if I start early I won’t be a tomato come June.

In other news, I’m in love with True Blood. Yes, Sheral finally brought me around and demanded I get a Netflix subscription and order it. I LOVE IT! It’s full of sex, which is always a plus, and it’s not as silly as some of the things in the Twilight series. At least vampires burn in the sun there and not sparkle. Much love for Edward still though. <3 Ah ha! I just got an email to say the next two discs will be here tomorrow! I’m in love with Netflix now, lol.

I’m about to order Directv again and hope that since we cut some limbs off of the pine trees that they’ll be able to install a dish now. Hope everyone is doing well!

I’m Bored

I’ve realized how boring my life is nowadays. I get up and feed and dress everyone, then I sit my ass on the computer and play games for a while. Maybe I’ll go outside at some point (after I make lunch) and ride around a bit on the four wheeler with the kids or go to town and spend money that I don’t have just because I want something to do. Then I cook, feed everyone a big supper, get everyone undressed and into pj’s, grab a shower, and watch a bit of tv or back online to play Farmville. God, I’m so boring! Don’t get me wrong, everyone is happy and healthy and things are going great between DJ and I, but I want more. I feel like I don’t have a purpose besides being a maid and caregiver.

I’m still chomping at the bit to get my computer. it’s supposed to be ready for shipment tomorrow, so I’m crossing my fingers that it’ll soon be on it’s way. Maybe that will keep me happy for a while, but I know it’ll make the chores suffer because I have been known to get addicted to games and play them ALL NIGHT LONG. I just have one of those very addictive personalities, and Sims is like crack to me, lol.

Maybe I’ll try to teach myself how to crochet finally. Eh, I doubt I’ll stick with anything too long, but it sounded good.

LJ’s question of the day was: Do you plan on celebrating St. Patrick’s Day? If so, how? What memories and feelings do you associate with this holiday?

Uh, YES! I’m Irish and damn proud of it, so I’ll of course be celebrating. I’ve been dressed in my Guinness clothes, hat, and flip flops all day and both of my boys are in their green, lol. I’ve made vanilla mint cupcakes with green buttercream frosting and a tray of lime jello shots. I plan on putting the boys to bed tonight and getting loose!

I’ve had some of best parties on St. Patty’s Day, and this year is going to be more low key, but hopefully just as fun.

Well, there isn’t much to update on my end. We all pretty much got over our sinus/allergy deals and feel better. Brandon is cutting more teeth (STILL!) and has a slight fever, but nothing bad at all. Mama is on a 2nd antibiotic after she had a reaction to the first one, and is doing slightly better. Her doctor told her that he’d put her in the hospital Monday if she hadn’t improved any. She’ll be okay, though. She’s exhausted atm because she just got home from dialysis and it always wipes her out.

I received my copy of The Sims 3, now I am just awaiting my computer! I CANNOT WAIT! XD I ordered another Dell desktop, an Inspiron something or other.. and it’s GREEN! Yeah, I can’t wait. I boosted the memory and processor as well as the video card. It’s got a flat panel monitor which is an upgrade to the ancient one I’m using now. I debated getting another laptop, but I think I’d enjoy a desktop more right now. Plus, this gives me this computer to give to the boys to play their little games on. I may install The Sims 1 for them because they all love it so much and always want to play my Sims 2.

Ah, well I guess I’ll go play my current obsession, Farmville.

Not So Good

Well, today has been horrible. Brandon started throwing up last night around nine and continued to throw up all through the night. He has no fever, and not many bowel movements, but he’s still sickly. So, DJ had to get up a lot with him during the night because I simply could not get up and pick him up and change sheets/clothes. I ended up still getting up three times, but he slept today for a long time to catch up. He doesn’t seem sick today, so I’m crossing my fingers and hoping it was just a 24 hour bug.

My lower back has eased off some, but my left hip and leg just hurt to the touch. (Oh, and I’m talking about my Sciatica acting up again. I forgot that I didn’t post anything here. I just posted something on my Facebook and LJ. :X) went to sleep when Brandon went down for a nap at 12:30pm today and we both slept until 4:30pm. I still have a massive headache and ache so bad. :/ I know I need to go to the doctor, but damn, I haven’t been controlling my diabetes like I should have and I don’t want to hear another lecture to make me feel even worse on top of it all.

Ughs, I’m going to go play on farmville for a bit and I guess I’ll go watch the Oscars later.

I’m in mourning for my old Dell laptop. I spilled an entire glass of tea on it last night and fried it. I swear, I’m going to die without it. I’m all emo and whiny because it’s the only thing my Sims would work on well. I found out that today when I installed all of my expansions and loaded up the game only to have 800×600 resolution. The graphics card on the desktop won’t handle it at all. :/ Not to even mention my pictures and music that my lazy ass never backed up. Wtg, Ellie.. wtg. :/

Nothing Much of an Update

Ah, it’s been a pretty uneventful week around here. I’ve been running back and forth with the DSS office getting stuff together, after stupid people won’t answer their phones and never heard of returning calls. I’ve been in the mood to want to bake lately, but I just don’t have the umph to get off my butt and get started. I also want to work more on my website and at least make a sub domain for my baking. On the family front, Mama’s had not one, but two doctor’s appointments canceled within three hours of said appointment this week. One doctor got caught up North in a snow storm and the other wouldn’t be in until this afternoon way later than medical transport was scheduled to take her. So, getting up early and getting her ready for nothing isn’t fun at all. It just exhausts me, lol. Jonathan and Brandon are still little holy terrors, but at the moment DJ is gone with Jonathan and Brandon is asleep. Can I get a a hell yes?! Haha, I needed some alone FB and updating time.

I’m doing well mentally lately I think. I’ve had some awful headaches the past two weeks, though that scare me to death. I’m telling you, if I get a bad headache that doesn’t go away after the first two rounds of tylenol/excedrin/ibuprofen, I get scared. My mind automatically jumps to my Chiari Malformation.. those were not fun times. My sugar has been up and down because of some sinus/allergy issues I’ve been dealing with, but that’s nothing new.

Eh, I’m going to go accept the five million Farmville and Cafe World requests I have and attempt to load them up. Maybe after wards I’ll attempt to wash some clothes or something productive.

Orange Glows are NOT Good

Ah, let me tell you, I about crapped all over myself the night before last. We have a gas wall unit on my end of the house to heat with. Mama’s end has a custom built wood heater that my Daddy made, but she’s using electric heaters because of her oxygen. Anyway, we’ve been having major problems with Jonathan messing with the gas heater, and he decided to cut it off. Well, there was carbon around the pilot light and once it was cut off it wouldn’t come back on. So, we put Jonathan to bed and DJ started trying to get the heater lit. I went back in the living room and started playing Sims when I saw the whole hall light up in an orange glow. The heater blew out on DJ! All I saw was him falling back and grabbing his eyes. I immediately thought the worst, but he’s okay. He has some 1st degree burns around his eyes, on the tip of his nose, and a little on his cheekbones. It scorched all of his facial hair, so he had to shave his goatee and mustache off. (And let me tell you he looks WEIRD!) I’m just happy that he’s okay and nothing major happened. We had someone come fix it yesterday, and now we have heat again.

Other than that, nothing big has happened. DJ called around and found out a plant that processes chicken locally will be hiring in two weeks. Other than that, there aren’t many jobs at all. I could probably get one easier than he can, but I have to be here with Mama. Oh well, we’ll make it.. we always do.

Now, I must make a list of things I need from town.. including socks. I swear I buy a pack of socks for each member of this family every two weeks! My dryer must eat them or something.

Just Call Me Cinderella

Well, I’ve pretty much spent my morning cleaning this disaster of a house up. I still have a mountain and a half of clothes to wash/dry/fold, but at least I made a start. I try to have the house at least halfway decent on weekends that Damian comes because it’s a holy terror of a mess once he and JJ are added to the mix.

I am honestly making an effort to update this blog, which is hard for me now because I’m so out of the motions of updating daily. I need to add content today, so hopefully I’ll get to that. I also have to reinstall Photoshop on this computer so I can make some goodies to put up as well. Atm, I am trying to remember my Twitter info so I can restart that too, lol. Lifestream is still giving me a headache, but I swear I am going to do my best to get that set up soon.

Okay, off to play Farmville for a bit and then back to being Cinderella.
